Executive Team
Howard Betts
Managing Director
With more than 30 years construction experience under his belt, Howard established the company in 1995 with a vision to grow Betts Townsend (Pty) Ltd (originally Betts Projects (Pty) Ltd) into a National Construction Project Management concern. Howard's previous experience as a "contractor" has equipped him to have an understanding of the "coal face". This has contributed to the success with maintaining long term clients. Added to his experience Howard has worked in the Seychelles, Mauritius, and the U.K. and in all corners of South Africa.
Howard is currently registered with the SACPCM (PrCPM), Chartered Institute Building and the Association of Construction Managers (MACPM).
John Townsend
Executive Director
KwaZulu-Natal and Eastern Cape
John launched the KwaZulu-Natal branch of Betts Townsend (Pty) Ltd in March 2001.
Having graduated from WITS University with a Bsc. Bldg in 1989, John has a wealth of experience in the Construction Project Management industry and is widely respected amongst both Developers and Professionals in KwaZulu-Natal.
Michael Taylor
Executive Director
New Business Development
Mike joined Betts Townsend (Pty) Ltd in 1998 whilst completing his final year dissertation. In 2000 Mike moved to the US where he was appointed as Development Manager for a Boutique Hotel Group based in East Africa and the Indian Ocean Islands.
Post completing a commercial Project Management contract in the UK, he returned to South Africa in 2003 and rejoined Betts Townsend (Pty) Ltd to complete a Project in Madagascar before settling in Gauteng where he contributed to the successful growth of the company and was duly appointed to the Board.
Mike launched the Cape Town branch in 2006 and is currently responsible for new business development for the group.
Toni Capuzzimati
Executive Director
Western Cape and Northern Cape
Toni joined Betts Townsend in the capacity of Senior Project Manager in March 2003 following a commercial contract in the United Kingdom.
Having graduated from WITS University with a Bsc. Bldg in 1996, Toni has over a decade of managerial experience in the construction project management industry.
Toni is currently the regional director in the Western Cape.
Tina Jones
Group Financial Director
Tina joined Betts Townsend Holdings in mid 2002 with 21 years of experience in the accounting field.
In June 2004, Tina was promoted to Financial Director of Betts Townsend Holdings Limited and Betts Townsend (Pty) Ltd.
Tina's involvement in a Construction Management Company has equipped her with the necessary experience to cope with the demanding Project Management industry.
